About Handgrabber.NET
Brief About Handgrabber.Net
Handgrabber.NET is a resource for players, who wish to learn more about poker datamining and especially the software you use: handgrabbers.
Please note that this doesn’t include “discussing the ethicacy of dataminig” or “telling people which pokerrooms allow/disallow datamining”. If you wish to discuss any of the above, I recommend the 2+2 poker forums.
Poker Coaching and Myself
My name is Jake, and I run Handgrabber.NET.
I have played poker for almost 4 years, and for 2 of them it has been my main source of income – You could call me a professional poker player, but I have never relied solely on poker to bring home the bacon.
I’m a bit of a nerd, so I have always been spending lot of time figuring out how to get the most out of programs like Pokertracker and Holdem Manager.
Since there are relatively few players who actually enjoy fiddling with 3 different programs that do the exact same thing, just to figure out if one of them are bit better than the other ones, I have gotten quite a bit of “know how” when it comes to poker software and especially handgrabbers.
For the last year I have been teaching other players in how to set up their software and get the most out of it (100$/hour if you are interested). The most common thing I help players with are somewhat basic stuff like setting up the Pacific Poker handgrabber or finding the best places to where to buy hand histories.
These things aren’t exactly difficult compared to beating NL1000$, but if you are playing mid- or high stakes the cost (of the time lost) of spending 1-2 hours figuring out what to do and then 2-3 doing it, is way more than what it cost to have me set everything up in 45 minutes.
Unfortunately micro- and small stakes players can’t afford this, and therefore I have created Handgrabber.NET – a resource for those who need information about handgrabbers and datamining in general.
The information on the site is based on what I usually do for the players who hire me. I have chosen to focus on somewhat broad subjects in order to help the largest amount of people – There are more people looking for information about what happened with the Dogwatch Handgrabber (it doesn’t exist anymore and Bodog Hand Grabber has taken its place) that there are looking for a detailed description of how the Ongame handgrabber works.
If you are interested in a subject that isn’t covered on the site just leave a comment to one of the articles, and I will most likely cover it in the next article I write.
